皮卡：我听到观众里还有小孩子，真不知道他们那么晚还在那儿干嘛。

Jo：皮卡是我们今晚的嘉宾。Nittinramski说：你能否问问他，我们刚才放的这个单曲是他全新音乐事业的开端吗？会出张专辑吗？

皮卡：我也不知道，我就想…

Jo：别害羞嘛！

皮卡：我就想试一试，走一步看一步吧。我喜欢做演员，但那有时候都会给我很大的压力。我也同样热爱音乐，但是我看到我做音乐的朋友也都压力很大，我不想那样。我一直都很敬佩做音乐的人，他们真的为音乐付出了一切，我从没那样做过。所以如果我现在全心扑在上面的话，会挺难为情的。

Jo: The intensity of emotion, imagine being in that room at that time. Donny Hathaway and You’ve Got A Friend.

PCap: I sense they’ve got kids in the audiences as well. Don’t know what they were doing there at that time.

Jo: Peter Capaldi is our guest on the show tonight. Nittinramski: Can you ask Peter if the single, which we just played is start for new musical career ahead. Might there be an album?

PCap: I don’t know, I’m just…

Jo: You are so coy.

PCap: I’m just having a go, just seeing what happens really. I mean I don’t want to sort of, you know, I love being an actor, and that can sometimes be a little bit of stressful. And much as I love music, I’ve seen my friends in the music business also have stresses and strains in their lives, that I don’t really want to have on my shoulders. And you know I’ve the greatest respect for people who do music, because they’ve devoted their lives to it. I haven’t quite done that, so I think it would be a little embarrassing for me to throw myself into it wholeheartedly.

Jo：那这就是一个你的小副业，时不时偷偷出张专辑什么的。

Jo：好吧。Joe Gaffney 问皮卡一个问题，13 位博士里你最喜欢谁？

皮卡：皮卡。

Jo：是啊，我也最爱他。

皮卡：他可棒了！

Jo：我从来就没喜欢过其他博士（笑）。演完神秘博士，做了第 12 任博士后，你的生活有什么改变？

皮卡：那是一段美妙的时光，可以扮演这个有魔力的人物。这就像是成为彼得潘或圣诞老人，人们总想和我聊聊。现在冲着我来的热度消退了一些，让我轻松多了，不用身在风口浪尖还是挺好的。但我觉得有热度也很棒，人们因为我演过博士而认出我时，都很高兴能见到我，这真不错。

Jo：这对你来说肯定基本上天天发生吧？

皮卡：是啊。

Jo：还真是？

皮卡：但那挺好的。

Jo：非常美好，当然，但当时让你很不知所措吧？

皮卡：有一段时间压力特别大，但那时还有拍摄的任务，要负责宣传节目，还要为了节目效果继承角色的人格，但那有时并不是真的我。

Jo：你是不是更像马女王（Malcolm Tucker）?

皮卡：没有吧，但也可能。我喜欢来点黑暗元素，爆粗口啊什么的，但演博士时不能那么干。

Jo：的确。

皮卡：但是现在我能随便爆粗口了，我现在能开骂吗？

Jo：你可别在我的节目里骂！

皮卡：为什么？

Jo：因为我会被炒！

皮卡：好吧。

Jo: It’s a nice little side-project to have on going, you know, sneak out an album here and there.

PCap: Let’s see how this goes.

Jo: Okay, fine. Joe Gaffney: a question for Peter, who is your favourite doctor out of the thirteen who have been in Dr Who over the years.

PCap: Peter Capaldi.

Jo: Yeah, he’s mine as well.

PCap: He’s amazing!

Jo: Never liked any of the others at all. What’s the legacy in the long-term impact of having been in Dr Who, having been the twelfth Doctor, in your life?

PCap: Um, just that, that was a wonderful time, and that I got to be this magical character. It’s a bit like being Peter Pan or Santa Claus and people still come and talk to me about… I do enjoy that it has receded somewhat, because it’s nice not to be in the storm and in the middle of that. But I think it’s a sort of welcome thing in the world. So, people, if they do recognize me from Dr Who are generally pleased to see me, so that’s always nice.

Jo: It must happen on a daily basis.

PCap: Yeah.

Jo: It does?

PCap: But that’s quite nice.

Jo: It’s lovely, yeah, but overwhelming at the time.

PCap: It’s the time there’s much much more of it, but then there’s also the responsibility of filming the show and also the responsibility of selling the show and also the responsibility of a kind of adopting this persona that will satisfy the brand, and that persona is not necessarily me.

Jo: Were you way more Malcolm Tucker?

PCap: No, possibly. Well I like a bit of darkness, you know, swearing. So sometimes that is not so welcome in the Dr Who world. 

Jo: Yes.

PCap: But I can swear all I like now. Can I swear now?

Jo: Do not do that on my show

PCap: Why not?

Jo: Because I’ll get sacked!

PCap: Okay.

Jo：问问皮卡有没有计划要把他演神秘博士以及别的片子时拍的照片出版成影集。我看你现在就带着相机。

皮卡：是啊，我现在就该拍点 Jo Whiley 和这位 DJ 朋友的照片。

Jo：她会进来打碎相机的。

皮卡：对，她看起来一点都不想被拍。她同意让我拍她了，但我看到她正往麦克风后边躲。

Jo：可不是嘛。

皮卡：我还没想好，我也才发觉我有一大堆照片，可以追溯到我的第一部电影《Local Hero》，那些很棒的项目，那些演员和导演们的照片。他们让我拍，因为我正好在那儿，而且我不是什么专业摄影师，所以我就拍到了他们真实的一面，我也的确拍了很多。

Jo：哇哦，这些值得发表，真了不起！

皮卡：我拍的好多好多照片年代太久远了，照片里很多人都已经去世了。

Jo：实在是珍贵的回忆啊。

皮卡：是啊，我屯了不少。拍神秘博士时的日程非常紧张，我也拍了很多照片。但是拍完之后我想完全卸下博士的身份，只想弹弹吉他，这就是我现在多数时候的生活。

在那之后我就只和 Armando 拍了《大卫科波菲尔的个人史》，在那个片场我也拍了很多不错的照片，因为大家都穿着破破烂烂的狄更斯式的衣服，特别有意思。从那时起也有好久没再拍照了，所以今晚是我第一次再拿出相机，顺其自然吧。

Jo: Ask Peter if he has plans in the future to publish his photographs taken during his time on Dr Who and beyond in the book, cause you brought your camera with you right now.

I turn my camera… Yes, I should be taking pictures of Jo Whiley and the DJ person.

Jo: Who would break the camera.

PCap: Yeah, who didn’t want her photographs taken at all. She’d agreed to let me do it, but I can see her hiding behind microphones. 

Jo: Yep.

PCap: I don’t know. I just realized, that I had a whole pile of photographs going all the way back to the verystart of my career in Local Hero, of all of these great projects and of course the actors and directors. They let me take pictures of them ‘cause I’m right there and I’m not, kind of a pro and, so they let their mask down and I have tons and tons of stuff so...

Jo: Wow, this has to be seen. Incredible.

PCap: Well I had tons and tons of stuff going way back, many of the people in the pictures are now passed on.

Jo: But again really valuable memories.

Jo：好，咱们再放一首歌，我想留你到放完新闻之后，因为问题实在太多了。下一首是让你回忆起童年的一首歌，是披头士的《All My Loving》。它会勾起你什么回忆？

皮卡：这首歌是我五岁的时候发行的。我上网查才发现我那年五岁。但我成长的年代就是披头士盛行的年代，大街小巷都在放他们的歌。我能隐约记得站在洗衣房的楼顶。我们那时住在老房子里，那是在很早以前在格拉斯哥的时候，外边有个洗衣房，我们就站在洗衣房的房顶，戴着披头士假发，那是用吸尘器上的塑料块做的。

Jo：是那种拖把头吗？

皮卡：对，但是它是硬的，会卡进头发里。你能一眼看出哪个小孩戴过它，因为会有勒痕，就在耳朵下边，那是他们的披头士假发留的痕迹。我们弹披头士的吉他小曲，鼓捣乐队签名照之类的。当时我们有一大群小孩，大概有 20 多个孩子一起。我们那时超爱披头士。但当然，随着时间流逝，他们的传奇故事被逐渐揭开真相，他们也慢慢变老，你会发现他们也是有血有肉的凡人，这时他们的故事就变得愈发动人。我一直记得我妈妈一辈子都爱唱这首歌，我们一起洗碗的时候，一起做家务的时候，她总在唱着，所以这首歌也会让我想起她。

PCap: Yeah, and I sort of stock… after I’d finished doing Dr Who which is a really very kind of intense kind of time, I took a lot of pictures on that. But when I finished that job I just wanted to stop completely and play guitar which is what I did most of the time.

The only thing I did was David Copperfield with Armando, and I took lots of pictures on that which was great because everyone was all tatted up and in their Dickensian costumes, so that was lovely, but I realized I haven’t done that for a while. So tonight was the first night, I’ve got the camera out again. Let’s see what happens.

Jo: Okay, We should play another song, I’m gonna keep you here after the news, because there’s too many questions to ask. So the next song is the song that reminds you of your childhood. It’s from The Beatles and It’s called All My Loving. What memories does it bring?

PCap: While I was five, when this came out. I looked that up, and I discovered that I was five. But obviously when I grew up. The Beatles were just around all the time. They were in the air and I can remember vividly standing on the roof of the wash house which was…we live in the   entailment in the early days in Glasgow, and there was a wash house outside, and standing on the roof of this wash house with The Beatles wig on, which was a vacuum form plastic thing.

Jo: Was it like a mop top kind of thing?

PCap: It was, but it was hard, it cuts into your head. You can always tell the kid who were wearing them, because they look like they had a scar, like in the bottom here (ear) or something like that. It was the scar from their Beatles wig. Play a little Beatles guitar and have their autographs signed and stuff. And there was a lots of us. There was about twenty kids all doing this. We just loved them. But of course, as the years pass and their stories unfold and they grew older, and you realized that they were real human beings, the whole thing just becomes incredibly moving. I always remember my mother, my mother always sang this song, you know, all through her life. We are doing the dishes, we are doing the housework, she always sang this, so that reminds me of her too.
