The 2 Jade are breaking rules like mad this chapter~ and maybe next. But huh..I guess its Lan’s blood special trait if they ever have someone they love,that someone will always be troublesome (LXC had 2 potential pair lol..now its just 1 tho…and with this kind of development, no way he get a happy relationship with JGY). Why do i feel like..her mother was misunderstood? What if it was like jin guangyao and lanxichen? She killed the teacher because he had malicious plans but since shes an outsider they didnt back her up and instead defended the teacher that is of their sect?

I feel like was very wilfull like WWX and firm like Madam Yu, we already know that not all Lan disciples are righteous like the one who shot an arrow to WWX in the turtle cave episode..

So maybe Mr. Lan introduced Mrs Lan to his teacher prolly was his “father figure” and deeply respects him but this father figure probably fell for Mrs. Lan’s free spirit and tried to make a move and got himself killed.

Mrs Lan, prolly got into a debate with a distraught Mr. Lan and she tried to tell him that he was a bad man but Mr. Lan wouldnt believe it cuz hes his respected teacher… but he loved her too much to see her die… huhu

It’s so sad that LWJ was always waiting someone TT. When he was young it was his mother, after he grown up, it was WWX. I always wondered how LWJ beared to wait WWX over 13 years after his death and didn’t give up. After I know his past maybe he took waiting as a matter of course and was scared that WWX won’t return just like his mother.

I think LWJ finally understood his father’s feeling after WWX died, that’s why he stand tall facing the whole world with WWX now. He doesn’t want to lost his love again.

And that Emperor Smile is from his secret stash right? The one he’s been saving for WWX? Will we see drunk LWJ finally confess to WWX how he could identify him in MXY body? Ah, now I have to wait another 4 days to know the answer.

LXC is so conflicted and on top of that, once he sees the proof he’ll feel incredibly guilty. He doesn’t deserve this.

My heart also really aches for LXC, LWJ and their parents. This is so tragic, I wish they could have been a happy family.

I wonder if the reasons of their mother’s crime are related to the current mystery? I don’t blame LXC for not wanting to know, though, he probably wants to preserve a good image of his mother. I also understand LXC’s and LWJ’s uncle’s position much better now, though it feels that even if he had good intentions, he only burdened these poor boys more in the end.

The little insights we get into LWJ’s interactions with his mother are too precious, especially when LXC tells how much he always looked forward to seeing her and WWX imagining a blushing LWJ being hugged tight by his mum. <3

LXC telling all of this to WWX feels like he wants to help his relationship with LWJ, and also like LXC is kind of accepting WWX into their family in a way. LXC is really so sweet.

I liked WWX's reaction a lot, this situation is so complicated and heartbreaking that it is hard to find a clear "right" path.

Oh yeah, and the story of LWJ's and LXC's parents feels like a parallel to WWX's and LWJ's romance, doesn't it? There are also lots of reasons why LWJ loving WWX is not right or acceptable by the standards of their society. I want these two to love each other freely and without guilt or shame. ;_;

But LXC is right, WWX should ask LWJ more stuff! WWX could generally stand to question people's motives more outside of mystery solving, hahaha.

It looks like the next chapter might be more light-hearted again. Too bad that LWJ never remembers anything he does after he drinks. XD
